ARE Inquizition is an iOS study tool for the Architects Registration Exam Version 5.0.
It was created out of a drive to make studying for the US architecture license a more enjoyable process. We believe our mindset affects the way we absorb information and incorporating a bit of joy and playfulness into the process is greatly helpful. This tool is something we want to share with others on the path to licensure.
How do I use it?
Each division/exam contains 6-8 flashcard decks and a quiz to check your overall knowledge. Note that these categories do not correspond to those listed by NCARB as they are meant to be more helpful and specific. This app is meant to be a companion tool to your studying that can be accessed through your phone or tablet, making studying from anywhere, on your commute, in your downtime, more convenient and accessible.
Where is the content from? Can’t I just find this for free in plenty of other places?
Exam content is a distillation of all primary resources referenced by NCARB. As you enter your examination journey, you will find that not all information is clear, concise, or accurate. In fact, some of the primary resources even contradict themselves. It is a process to vet out what information is true of the exam content, and this may not necessarily match up with real world practices. Our content has been written and rewritten to maximize clarity and provide an access point for the knowledge that is required.
Is this app enough to pass the exams?
Although the app aims to provide a comprehensive overview of test material, we would like to emphasize that it is meant to be a supplement to the content. We advise using it as an additional tool to boost your studying and provide access to exam content at your convenience. Mastery and familiarity of primary exam resources is still strongly advised. We do not guarantee the outcome of your individual exam.
